I hated math, truly hated it. I wasn’t good at it and I didn’t understand any of the concepts -I still took university/academic levelled math. This summer I decided that instead of taking Grade 11 functions during the year and having to balance that along with the rest of my classes (because math would heavily consume my time over any of my other classes), that I would take it as a summer course online. My mom had insisted multiple times “We’re getting you a tutor”, at first I was sceptical of the idea but soon enough agreed that, yeah, I would most definitely need one. I brought it up to my friend who has been a client for years and she highly recommended Nathalie. My first session with Nathalie was obviously a little nerve wracking saying I hadn’t had a tutor before and didn’t exactly know what there was to come from it. Though, Nathalie greeted me so kindly and created an atmosphere where I could learn and felt comfortable asking questions. Her lessons and notes she took with me during the course were easy to remember, easy follow along to and overall resinated with me even until now. I finally was able to conceptualize math and understand the terms and lessons that continued from Grade 10 that I didn’t understand whatsoever back then. Thanks to Nathalie, she helped me go from my 65% in Grade 10 academic math, to an 86% in Grade 11 university math.
